Michigan Football Weekend: 11-19-16

Praise the Lord for a great day.

Jason Bradshaw, the host and organizer of the MFW prepared a wonderful day which began at 8:00 AM at his church Bethesda Baptist located in Allen Park. Prayer was first followed by breakfast and message from Pastor Bob Moore who happens to be a native of Allen Park. This was the second year for Bethesda Baptist to serve as a location for our prayer and breakfast time.

Pastor Moore spoke from Matthew 28:16-20 which is commonly referred to as the ‘Great Commission’ passages.

“But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Pastor Moore explained the authority contained in the verses.  He said that the disciples met Jesus in Galilee because Jesus told them to thus a demonstration of His authority, the disciples worshipped Him, He sent them out in and under His authority and that His authority would be with them as they went.

Thus for us, as evangelists, operate under His authority and therefore should be humble preachers of the Word.

Then by 10:00 AM we departed for Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan vs. Indiana game. The game is held at ‘The Big House’ whose capacity is 107,601 making it the largest stadium in the US and second largest in the world.

‘The Big House’ provides an excellent ministry location at Green Street and E Hoover, where our team was located, and further up Green Street closer to the stadium, where Jason’s team was located.

This is a picture from our location. You can see the huge crowds coming at us.

This is a view from the other location just 100 yards away. The stadium is to the right.
