12/2 – vs. Cardinals

“It wouldn’t be a Packer game if you guys weren’t out here preaching about Jesus.”

The statement from a season ticket holder who hears us for 10 games a year for the past several years. It is a joy and delight to my heart hearing this and other comments from Packer fans about our commitment to faithfully labor and preach at every home game.

We have maintained a stable presence which fans know and expect Jesus Christ and him crucified to be declared as they are heading to the game.  This past Sunday, given the weather, the less than stellar season and other factors provided for an active and somewhat raucous crowd coming to the game as many chose to speak their mind in a sort-of drive by fashion with “He’s not real!”, “I am an atheist!”, “Beware of Jesus!”, which Dan Beyer had on as a t-shirt, providing many short conversations about what that meant.

We also had several notes on encouragement from fans as well who shared with us some thumbs-up signs. “Thank you for being out here.” And a gentlemen who stopped by while I was passing out tracts, took one, and then asked “What are you? As in denomination?” I shared we are born-again believers in Jesus Christ. His reply was “Cool, thank you guys for being out here.”

Overall, a great day to share the Gospel in an around Lambeau Field with Dan Davis, Dan Beyer, Duane Schneider, Greg Fischer, and myself.
