Kevin Katzmann – Hamilton, Canada
Kevin Katzmann is a sinner saved by the grace of God, through faith alone in Christ alone. He is married to Christina and together they have three children, Curtis, Cameron and Catherine. Through a heart wrenching trial God graciously saved Kevin by bringing a deep conviction of his sin and the holiness of God. Now a new creation in Christ, Kevin loves to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and longs to see the church equipped for the Great Commission. Kevin has lead a weekly witnessing team on the streets in Burlington and Hamilton since 2013 and serves as an Elder at Pineland Baptist Church.
Paul Latour – Almonte, ON
Hi, my name is Paul Latour. I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, the capital city of Canada. As of November 2016, my wife, Kim, and I now live in a small country town called Almonte, just on the outskirts of Ottawa. In the hearing of the gospel being faithfully and powerfully preached a church I had not desire to be in, God graciously opened (in an instant) my dead heart and blind eyes to its truth back in October of 1999. It would not be long before I felt deeply compelled to share the gospel with others on a regular basis on a one-to-one level. My ways of sharing the gospel effectively improved in 2003 when I was introduced to Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron at a weekend evangelism seminar they gave here in Ottawa. It was great! But, after a long while of having my iron being sharpened by other irons, it would not be before 2007 that I stepped on “the box” for the first time and proclaimed the gospel on the streets of Ottawa in the open air. That was the year my wife and I began our street evangelism ministry together which, by the grace of God, we continue to work at to this day. I am praying that the Lord will grant me whatever years I have left on this earth to be diligent in spreading gospel seed by whatever means wherever He has me until He takes me home. It is such a privilege and joy to serve the Lord in this manner. My motto is: “If Jesus died for me, then I’m going to live for Him.” Glory to God alone!
Jeff Mardling – Ontario, Canada
My name is Jeff – Not only am I a born again follower of Jesus Christ, I have been cleverly disguised as a funeral director in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. I have been married to my wonderful wife Susan since 1995 and we have three sons, Cameron, Joel and Noah. I have a passion for the lost and help lead a weekly evangelism team from our church on the streets of London, Ontario. I also serve with a local missions ministry and outreach broadcast called The Cross Current and TCCRadio.com
Ivan Town – Allen Park, MI
My name is Ivan and I live in Michigan near Detroit. I was born in a much more rural section of the state eventually got my BS in computer science. But don’t think I’m a math pro – I had to make up for serious slacking by summer classes, a 5th year and tons of grace. (that I was unaware of at the time)
I got married and we moved to Maine for her med school adventure. It’s a beautiful place. Be sure to stop through there if you can. In Maine I was hired by my current employer. I mostly do website programming. They even let me work from home now that I’ve had to move away! It’s been a tremendous blessing from the Lord to have this job which I love.
Our first son was born in Maine and our daughter was born while in residence in Quincy, Illinois.
All that time, I thought that I was a Christian. I had no idea how ignorant and foolish I was. During a difficult marital time, the Lord opened my eyes and commandeered my life. Romans 8:28 burned it’s reality into my soul soon after. Although my marriage dissolved, our Master was leading me somewhere I never imagined.
I thank and praise the Lord for transforming an introvert like me into someone who is completely willing to be a fool for Christ. As it seems to be our Lord’s custom, He continued to astound me by raising up some like-minded evangelism crazies like me at my church!
I’m grateful to be able to serve the body as a foot. I’m so happy to be saved from myself. I pray that I’m able to love Jesus more by loving his church. I look forward to spending time with you in service to our Captain.
Zoe White – Tickfaw, LA
Hi, my name is Zoe White (pronounced “Zo”). I live in the little Village of Tickfaw, Louisiana; conveniently located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. My wife, Chelsea, and I are blessed with four beautiful children that keep our home quite lively: Zuri, Cruz, Crozby, and Azalea. (We also have 3 children in Heaven that we look forward to seeing again very soon.)
In 2016, God introduced me to the ministry of Ray Comfort at Living Waters and the concepts of Biblical evangelism. Although I have sensed a call to missions for many years and went on several mission trips around the world, God used the study of Biblical evangelism to convict me of how little I shared the gospel in my daily life and how unbiblical some of my methods were. I repented and asked God to teach me how to share the gospel obediently and faithfully. By His grace, I hand out gospel tracts regularly now, pursue evangelistic conversations everywhere I go, and I started my new life of open air preaching at the Super Bowl Outreach in February 2017. All glory to God for opening my eyes to the need around me! It is such a joy to proclaim the Good News that God is reconciling sinners to Himself through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! As His ambassador, I go forward into the fray, to declare the Good News of my King and Savior, that I may share in His sufferings for the sake of the elect and for His glory!
Through the assistance of Bill Adams and the George Whitefield Program, (and many other evangelists that have offered sound counsel) God has allowed me to establish Declaring Truth Ministries to bring God’s glorious gospel to the New Orleans area and beyond.
Declaring Truth Ministries glorifies God by declaring “the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation” (Eph. 1:13) through open-air preaching, literature distribution, and “everywhere evangelism” so that all peoples would hear and believe in Jesus Christ. Seeking to be good stewards of God’s grace in our lives, we are declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ boldly to all peoples and equipping believers to do the same.
We are building a team of ministry partners now to support our open-air evangelism ministry. You may learn more about partnering with Declaring Truth Ministries at declaringtruth.com/donate.
