Ministry Location and Logistics (For More Info, go to DeclaringTruth.com/saints)
  • Meetup Location:  We meet in the parking lot behind Starbucks off Causeway Blvd. in nearby Metairie, LA, 4 hours before game time. (If game starts at 12pm, meet at Starbucks at 8am.)  Many team members travel from at least an hour away so it’s a
good spot to use the bathroom and grab one last cup of coffee before heading out.  Save the Google Maps Starbucks address in your phone here.
  • Parking:  We carpool over to the closest parking lot which is Premium Parking – P250 @ 1001 Loyola Ave.  If God has blessed you, there is a suggested donation of $5 per person for parking.  If you are running behind, you may find parking at any of the nearby parking lots and meet us out there on the street whenever you are able.  Parking rates on game day are typically $20-$35 for 4 hours.
  • Ministry Location:  At the 4 corners of Loyola Ave. & Girod St., one block away from the Super Dome, where thousands of sports fans will walk toward the Dome from their parking/tail-gating areas.

If you have any questions, please let one of them know.

9/15 – vs. Cleveland Browns

Richard Kellar and I preached Christ from His Word on Sunday, September 16th, from 9am-12pm at the New Orleans Saints game.  Our sweet location at the corner of Girod St. & Loyola Ave. is shaded and on a popular walking path for sports fans as they make their way to the Super Dome.

This is our 3rd season preaching the Saints games.  David Robert wasn’t able to make it out, but Richard was able to come!  I am so blessed to hear Richard preach Christ.  He has a tone that is welcoming and kind, yet serious and sober, pleading with sinners to come to Christ and live.
I had one interaction with a 78 year old man nicknamed, “Walkin’ Willy”.  I was able to communicate the gospel to him, but I felt it landed on deaf ears.  He was happy that we were preaching, but I still felt he didn’t understand the Gospel.
Another interaction with a young man named Andrew began as he shook Richard’s hand while he preached.  I caught up with Andrew and asked about his relationship with God.  He was acting self-righteous and kept saying he would pray for me, even though he confessed to sleeping with his girlfriend continually.
I preached through some of the “I AM” statements of Jesus Christ, and I warned about the false gospel of Roman Catholicism, the most popular religion of the city.
Richard and I handed out hundreds of Gospel tracts and very few were thrown on the ground.  We estimate nearly 5,000 people walk by hearing the Gospel every game.  What a blessing!
