El Festival de Música Bonnaroo se ha programado del 12 al 14 de junio de 2025 en Manchester, TN.


The Bonaroo Music Festival is one of the largest such events in the U.S. bringing in approximately 80 to 100 thousand people each year. The Festival is located on a 700 acre farm in Manchester. There is a public county road that runs right through the heart of it and provides great ability to preach to multitudes of people. It is truly a dark place with open blatant immorality and sin, where people need to be confronted with the Gospel.


Lord willing SFOI will be there and is looking for 16 men to join the team to preach the Gospel to the fans and local citizens; minister to them in the moment and to potentially refer them to a Bible teaching church or ministry for discipleship.

Tuve el privilegio de liderar a 15 hombres en la campaña de Bonnaroo 2025. Nos reunimos en la Iglesia Bautista Rutledge Falls, cerca de Manchester, Tennessee, un jueves por la noche con planes de evangelizar el viernes y el sábado. Poco después de que todos llegaran, descubrimos que un hermano que se había inscrito, Lucas Call, nunca se había bautizado. Así que cruzamos la calle hacia las cataratas que dan nombre a la iglesia, y el pastor Eric Swinney bautizó a Lucas. Fue una manera maravillosa de comenzar el fin de semana.

El festival de música Bonnaroo se celebra cada año en una enorme granja en Manchester, Tennessee. El olor a marihuana se sintió fuerte en el aire todo el día, y hombres y mujeres caminaban con muy poca ropa que los cubriera.


Llegamos poco antes de las 10:00 a. m., nos dividimos en tres equipos de cinco e inmediatamente comenzamos a predicar al aire libre y a repartir folletos evangelísticos. Nos enfrentamos a una fuerte oposición durante todo el día. El intenso odio hacia Dios y el evangelio era incomparable a todo lo que había visto en mi vida. A uno de nuestros equipos le lanzaron cuatro bolsas llenas de basura mientras predicaban. También nos lanzaron botellas de agua. Varios asistentes al festival hicieron todo lo posible por interrumpir la predicación gritando todo tipo de blasfemias. Un hombre, que decía ser pastor, no dejaba de gritarle a cualquiera que quisiera escuchar que estábamos predicando un evangelio falso y que Dios no tenía ningún problema con la homosexualidad y el consumo de drogas. Su mensaje era: "Sé tú mismo". Sin embargo, a pesar de todo, todos los hombres predicaron sin inmutarse.

Meaningful conversations with some of the Bonnaroo Music Festival goers


Every single one of the men showed great patience and grace in the face of all the hostility. No one reviled in return. The true gospel of Jesus Christ was faithfully preached for nearly six hours. Toward the end of the day the skies opened up and intense heavy rain fell on the just and the unjust. So much rain fell that afterward it looked like a river was flowing through the middle of the farm. The organizers had no choice but to cancel the last two days of the festival. We were already back at the church and several men were already asleep when we learned that we would not be able to return to the farm for more ministry on Saturday.

Times of fellowship, worship and teaching


We still had prayer, breakfast, worship, and teaching Saturday morning. Then we said our goodbyes and headed home. I am convinced that God had seen enough of the wickedness and outright hostility toward Him and His people and flooded the festival out. I live less than two miles from the festival site and when I got home my yard was barely wet at all. 

En general, todos disfrutamos de un tiempo bendecido de compañerismo y ministerio. En medio del odio y la hostilidad, aún hubo muchas conversaciones maravillosas. Se podía ver el quebrantamiento en muchas personas. Un joven se sintió muy arrepentido y dijo que quería una Biblia para aprender más sobre Jesús. Tenía varias Biblias en mi mochila, así que le di una. Sé que el Señor está atrayendo a muchas de estas personas hacia sí. Sembramos las semillas. Que otros rieguen y que Dios dé el crecimiento. ¡A Él sea toda la gloria!
