TESTIMONIALS

NFL London '22

If you are looking for an evangelistic mission trip that will stretch you spiritually and help you grow in faith, then join SFOI on one of it's outreaches to London. Recently, I joined ten other people for NFL London and it was ten days of intensive ministry from six to eight hours in the harvest fields of London. The days were filled with outreaches to sporting events, tourist destinations, and small town tube stops.

It was an awesome opportunity to share the gospel with thousands of people from various nations, as London is home to many diverse ethnicities. It was also exciting to work side by side with UK believers and also hear from pastors as to how God is working in the London area. This trip will definitely change your life as it stirs your heart to walk closer to the Lord and rekindle in your heart a passion for lost souls. I have been to London four times and can not wait to go back.

The London trip was a great experience. 9.1 Million souls in a dense City with a public transportation system that provides areas of concentrated commuter traffic, but, really you get the sense you could preach anywhere and it would be beneficial even the quiet areas. It was often the less busy spots where we had the most conversations. Handing out bible literature is hit or miss, the less affluent an area was, generally the more receptive the public were. England is not as lost a I had imagined, we met many believers but very few are willing to make a public spectacle of their faith. We did meet some who wanted to join us in the labor and some did join us. Jehovah's Witnesses are in a lot of the places we found ourselves.

Another great opportunity to bolster your faith was the Christian Heritage Tour both the British Museum portion (where there were archeological proofs of the accuracy and historicity of the bible) and the ground survey beginning at St. Paul's Cathedral, where the life of believers clashed against the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches of that day and died for the faith and also the impact Christians had on a lost culture because they remained faithful to Jesus and lived it out in their daily lives.

We are called to make disciples of the Nations and the world is there.

The London trip is a fantastic opportunity to be completely immersed in gospel preaching evangelism. The other members of the team will surround you and encourage you to dig deeper, and push harder to proclaim the Word to a city that is in spiritual darkness. The Lord may use to you in the salvation of others, and to encourage the local believers in the city, who may feel surrounded by the doctrines of demons. Not to mention, many thousands of people will hear your preaching at the sporting games. It’s a fantastic opportunity for any believer concerned for the great commission.

Hey this John Crowley to my brother in sister in the LORD . Going to Living Water Academy is and was a huge in my walk with Jesus . However, after that you have left wondering where and how use the new skills the LORD has given you. Sports Fan Outreach has given a way and place to preach at for the last 4 years UCF home football games along for the last 3 super bowl a group of like mind man and women who I now call more than friends I think as brothers and sister and love them beyond words can express. I pray some how the LORD will allow to go to the next few super bowl and know if he does it will  be a small experience what Heaven may be like.

Ben Grady

A faithful ministry! Mr. Adams phones all the labourers and prays for them prior to each outreach. Mr. McGough and Hannah handle the emails with excellence. They really love the lost want to see God's name glorified!!!!

¡Perfectamente organizado, gran liderazgo, increíble experiencia de aprendizaje!

It can be difficult finding brothers who preach the Gospel in the open air with truth and love (Eph. 4:15).  What a blessing it was to find SFOI and brother Bill Adams. The events are very organized and prioritize prayer and study before our feet hit the streets.  I'd labor with Bill and these brothers anywhere, anytime.  Looking forward to many more years of laboring to promote the Gospel with Sports Fan Outreach!

Super Bowl '20:

My first event with Sports Fan Outreach was in 2010, at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami. Bill Adams does an excellent job of organizing accommodations, teaching and transportation to and from the ministry locations. Under Bill's leadership, along with the individual team leaders, the outreaches flow smoothly, allowing the participants to concentrate on learning and actually doing evangelism.

Participants also have the opportunity to fellowship and gain life long relationships with other evangelists across the country and world. This creates a network of evangelists that can draw encouragement from each other.

I have been to three of the last four Super Bowl Outreaches with Sports Fan Outreach and the quality of teaching, and organization has always been excellent. If you desire to preach in the open air and have a love for the Lord and the lost, a Sports Fan Outreach event will be a huge blessing to you!

Alex Burt

Tom Brewer

Super Bowl '20:

It is a honor to be apart of SFOI. Bill Adams leadership in this ministry is a blessing to me and others would agree. The Lord has blessed Bill with such wonderful organizational skills that these events are such a blessing to those who participate. The command to go and seek and save the lost is exactly what is done to the Glory of God at these Outreach's. The teaching, fellowship and witnessing opportunities are all done to glorify our Great God. I have been to 4 Super bowl Outreach's and Lord willing many more to come.

Frank Rollberg

Peter Firth

Super Bowl '20:

I greatly appreciate Bill Adams and the leadership of SFOI.

SFOI is a great atmosphere for fellowship among likeminded laborers in the Gospel, to encourage and exhort one another, as all participants pray, worship, learn, grow, and labor in Christ together.

It is a great mixture of first-time open-air preachers, long-time seasoned open-air preachers, and everyone in between, so that we can support, edify, and teach one another, as well as learn from each other.

The Word of God and His Gospel is the focus of what SFOI stands on and declares to this fallen world, in its desparate need of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Way of Salvation!

I am so thankful for the ministry and vision of Sport Fan Outreach and to Bill Adams to proclaim the gospel to the masses. Every year I look forward to preaching Christ with like minded brothers and sisters in
Christ. The Superbowl Outreach for 2019 in Atlanta this year was well organized with much prayer, accompanied with encouraging and challenging speakers. What a privilege to proclaim Christ to thousands of sports fans. One thing I love about this ministry is that it is purely about proclaiming the pure Gospel to those who may not hear any other way. When I attend these events I feel like I am on the mission field to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ all for the glory of God.

NYC Open Air Preaching Training '19:

SFOI NYC open air evangelism training was fantastic. Learning from Dr Brad Evans about preaching and Al Baker about revival prayer was encouraging and edifying. Then out in the streets they listened and critiqued our preaching. Bill Adam’s was also encouraging and many heard the gospel. Conversations with believers and unbelievers happened and the Holy Spirit was moving. I hope to do another event with SFOI. I recommend them to anyone who is called to preach the gospel in the open air.

Awesome ministry! Had a great time in New York City preaching the gospel, handing out tracts, and having gospel conversations. Great teachers and great fellowship. I recommend this ministry to anyone who believes in open air preaching of the gospel.

Super Bowl 2019:

This outreach was one of a kind experience! During my time with SFOI, the Lord revealed new things to me. The first being, I lack with trusting Him. It was a hard one to swallow, but He was faithful and showed me how I could grow in trusting Him! As a result, the Lord gave me an unction and power that flowed through my veins to proclaim His glory and might! It was an awesome opportunity!

Second, the Lord showed me that it is through Him that seeds are planted. He utilizes our vessels, through our obedience, to water the seeds! This was an awesome insight into our Father's will and commission to making disciples! It was a good taste of being able to work along side with SFOI to see the LORD at work! All in all, this opportunity that the Lord gave me was awesome! I hope to do it again in the future. I know that the Lord is using SFOI to bring truth to lost people, as well as bringing people to draw nigh to the LORD! He is good to us all! Amen.

Kentucky Derby '18:

There was a young Jewish boy who came by and began to proudly tell us that if we could provide a scripture that stated Jesus was the Messiah, he would convert. Well, we shared with him, but he did not convert. No surprise. Nevertheless, he heard the Gospel even though his friends were trying to pull him away. The story does not end there. He went into Churchill Downs, and that afternoon he came back out, and I happened to be open air preaching. That was God ordained. He came back by and gave the same statement. I appealed to his knowledge of the Torah and pointed him to Jesus from Genesis 3:14–15, the promise of God in Genesis 13:16, the faith of Abraham in Genesis 15:5, and the suffering servant found in Isaiah 53. Appealing to what he already knew about the Bible helped him engage in the conversation. I shared how this suffering servant was Jesus. After that, he said he was going to leave. His demeanor had completely changed when he walked away.

Kentucky Derby '18:

This was my first Derby, and hopefully the Lord will tarry long enough so that I get the chance to partake in this again. The most memorable event with a fan at the Derby was something very simple but yet a seed was planted. I offered a lady a tract, she took it, and I told her to give it a read, think about it, and that her life is so precious that Christ would die for her. I reiterated to her that a soul is priceless, and not to ever forget that, and that is the reason we come out to the Derby. She looked at me as though I cared about more than just getting a tract out of my hand, but that I had invested a little bit in her in an eternal sense. A little eye contact when handing out a tract may say a lot!

Greg Fischer

SBO'18:

We enjoyed witnessing together at the Super Bowl Outreach with SFOI. Our team worked well together and it was a blessing to be in such a supportive group. Leader Bill Adams as well as our team leader Bill Schank did a great job preparing for and leading the outreach. One of the things that makes the SFOI outreaches different from other outreaches is the prayer time, fellowship, and teaching each morning. Before we went out each day we were encouraged in the Lord and had opportunities to lift up others in the group.

Another aspect of the outreach that is unique to SFOI is the emphasis on verbally sharing the gospel and preaching on the streets. Tracts are used as well, but team members are encouraged to be bold in the faith for the gospel of Jesus, and to get out of their comfort zone while interacting with people on the street. One highlight of the outreach was speaking with a Seventh-day Adventist husband and wife who were out sharing their views with the Superbowl fans. We had a nice long conversation and left some tracts with them.

Another highlight was a conversation Joshua had on the plane ride home with a Catholic-Jewish man, who opened up about his life story, although he seemed a little intoxicated. Joshua was able to give him a tract, and offer prayer for him and his brother who was in the hospital.

SBO'18:

At the end of first day we had a particularly rude heckler. She was a middle aged "atheist" who was very proud of the book she had written and the worldly wisdom she had accumulated. Andy our team leader was engaging her, challenging her attacks and one by one knocking them down. while others preached on. I was scanning the crowd while this was going on, only half listening, she was saying something about how faith is based on location and people from India believe Hinduism and Americans believe the bible only because they are American.

I mention this because sometime later this woman is still jabbering at Andy and another group of people bunch up at the edge of the sidewalk where we are preaching waiting for the light to turn so they can continue. I see a short Indian man standing directly behind the atheist woman with his back to her. He (presumably) has his daughter in front of him and he has his head half turned obviously listening to the commotion the woman is making. It's at this time the Atheist lifts her hands in front of her and proclaims "Jesus Christ is NOT God!". I see the Indian man's eyes widen, he looks me dead in the eye, raises his own hands and in an extremely thick Indian accent he says "Jesus Christ IS GOD!" now my eyes have widened and I Give the guy a big smile and He proclaims again "Jesus Christ IS GOD!" to which I say "AMEN!" he replies "AMEN", hands still in the air as he heads on down the street with his daughter. Unfortunately the woman missed both the point of the Gospel and the Man's bold proclamation.

I was preaching on day one, I think from Romans 1, when an odd looking man in a heavy trench coat stopped to watch. For some time he nodded his head while listening, he then said "Do you preach on God's wrath?" to which I replied "I do sir, His wrath and His Justice but also his mercy and grace." he nodded and said Preach from Ephesians 2:8 I flipped there read that passage aloud and began to preach from it. After a bit of that he said "good, now do Romans 3:23" "Sure" I said flipping through my bible and beginning to preach. It was probably the best preaching I had done that day. I was wrapping up looking forward to talking with the man who obviously had a grasp on God's word, but when I turned around he had gone.

Michigan Football Weekend:

The 2016 Michigan Football evangelism outing was another great experience. The night before was filled with the blessing of fellowship for everyone that was going to participate. This time with kindred spirits is always a highlight in my view. Everyone gathered a Jason Bradshaw’s house to prepare for the upcoming work in the morning. The morning started with a wonderful time of seeking the Lord. I say wonderful because I love praying with people where the thoughts on my heart leap into the words of others with the same desire – before I even open my mouth! After prayer, we went downstairs for a hot breakfast prepared for the evangelists by some of the faithful at the hosting church.

The time was concluded by teaching from Pastor Bob Moore on a right response to the privilege of carrying forth the great commission, namely humility in the messenger. Day one was Michigan football hosting Indiana. We had a little over a dozen men divided into two teams. The weather was colder than it had been for some time and we got a windy day with patches of rain/snow. Grace was abounding, as always, because it wasn’t really a wet event overall. Many seeds were planted and I was thankful that God’s word will accomplish everything He intends. The streams of people were overflowing as game-time approached. We were sadden at the vast percentage of souls that we enslaved to the hurtful effects of alcohol. Our team didn’t really have any outrageous acts towards the preachers or tract-givers, which was nice. The night concluded with an exquisite dinner by Jason’s wife Kelly. As the hour got late, we joked with the always funny, “Some people love sleep, some love Jesus.” line. I stayed up later than I planned but iron sharpening iron is just too great to miss.

Day two was the Detroit Lions vs. Jacksonville Jaguars. No special breakfast or teaching this day. Just prayer then laboring. Not as many people were able to attend the second day but the cold wind was certainly here to remind us that it’s going to be in attendance. For such a cold morning, there were lots of fans pouring in. Having a dome will help the fan-base for sure. I could not help smiling during my preaching because I was so happy to be with preachers that spoke lovingly the truth that kills. The joy was pouring out of me so much that I hope it didn’t confuse people, haha. The day concluded with our Canadian brothers heading out for home and another year of memories. Looking forward to next year!

Michigan Football Weekend '16:

The Michigan weekend exceeded my expectations! The Lord was very gracious to us. He kept us safe, gave us favor with law enforcement, and blessed us with great fellowship! It was great getting to know the new guys like Steve and Jordan from Canada. Of course it was also great to see familiar faces:) One of the goals of this weekend was to really embrace fellowship. Having both dinners at the house really allowed us to spend more time getting know everyone. The men seemed to really want to serve the Lord. The Lord answered our prayer for unity. There was no division and all of the men seem to have the same goal - To preach the Gospel!.

It was great listening to the guys preach as well as learning from them. I really enjoyed our late night discussions with Kevin, Rubin, and Ivan. Also, I wanted to mention what a blessing it was to get a John Shelton and Gary Scott breakfast while Pastor Moore preached on Matthew 28. Pastor Moore's message on humility set the tone as we took the streets to herald the good news of the Gospel! I pray that the seeds that were planted on Saturday and Sunday will bear good fruit! Looking forward to another opportunity to labor with these men! All glory to King Jesus!

Kentucky Derby '16:

"I really enjoyed the Kentucky Derby Outreach! The trip pushed me out of my comfort zone and I had to rely on God for many things like energy and focus in a distracting and spiritually dark environment. God really came through for my boyfriend Joshua and I by providing opportunities to talk with and pray with people attending the derby. I was reminded how we can't always see God working in the lives of people before they come to Jesus, although He is working. I feel like I came away from the outreach with more conviction to share Christ with those around me and more compassion for lost people. Joshua, as well as the rest of the group involved in the outreach, were very encouraging and supportive throughout the weekend. Also, I appreciated that our team started each morning with a time of prayer, which helped me to mentally prepare for the day by focusing on God."

Rachel Adolphs

Kentucky Derby '16:

"This was my first Kentucky Derby Outreach and an enjoyable one nonetheless. Bill Adams did a great job of planning and organizing this event, and it was encouraging to have so many Believers gathered from all across the US to share Jesus together. The weather was perfect for ministry, and I was pleased to be joined on this trip with my girlfriend Rachael Adolphs who was a tremendous support all-around. Together, we were able to have several good conversations, as well as pray with quite a few people who had various needs and present the Gospel in the prayer. One conversation that stood out to me in particular, was when Rachael and I decided to take a break and get some dinner at a restaurant nearby, a young college student approached us asking if he could borrow a phone charger. I asked him if he needed prayer for anything. After he shared, that led him to ask us what religion we were, and further questions about what we believed and Christianity. I ended up getting his phone number, and we have continued conversations since the Derby outreach. One of many things I learned on this trip, was that I can truly share Jesus ANYWHERE, and it doesn't always have to be at a designated place, or time. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!"

Coca-Cola 600/Speed Street:

We were doing the Father's business last weekend at Speed Street in Charlotte, the event before the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 (Memorial Weekend 2016)! I thank the Lord that he brought the group of brothers together so we could stand alongside one another as God led us into the heart of Charlotte's downtown to speak the name and gospel of Jesus Christ to many souls. With Bill Adam's encouragement and firm urging to read the Scriptures for the public's ears (thankful for his brotherly love), the Lord opened up me and my mouth to street preach for the first time! This was a special time to be reading and opening the Word of God to needy people. Bill gave me an ear and was my crowd, and his smile and nodding eased my uncomfortable nerves. Thank you, Bill!

The next day Tommy provided the same kind of companionship to help me when I went for it again. The kind of love and support these 2 brothers gave was the overall encouraging spirit that we shared over the weekend--the fellowship was sweet. On my first day witnessing, I asked a man if he wanted a tract as he waited at a crosswalk. He said no, and asked me what I would tell him since he had lost a close relative to cancer. Then he followed up with "I don't want you to answer. I just want you to think about it." I sat there thinking about how I would respond, and because I was at a loss, I prayed about how I would answer the personal question that this man had posed from his true life. Although he repeated that he didn't want an answer, I told him my advice would be to pray about his situation. Then as the pedestrians began to move, I told him that I would pray for him. A week later this very day the Lord's reminded me to pray for him. I pray now to Him who is the Father:

Kentucky Derby '16:

To the Glory of His Name, Jesus Christ our Lord. It really has been encouraging to me, so much so that I’m making efforts to clear my calendar, to continue serving with this ministry outreach. To work alongside so many fellow evangelist from all over the country, who share a zeal for reaching out to the lost through the open preaching of God’s word, has been tremendously encouraging to me. Sometimes it’s hard in our fellowships back home to find others who are willing to labor with us in these endeavors. So for me serving at these events has been quite invigorating. The teaching that Bill Adams sets up has been top tier and beneficial for use and I pray that will continue even as the sufficiency of Scripture is being challenged more and more every day.

The prayer before we go out and the fellowship that occurs when we are debriefing on the events of the day demonstrate a genuine desire among those present to grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in their submitting to one another in love. If you believe you are gifted in evangelism I can think of no better school, than what I have witnessed here. One where not only do you learn but you do. This by far had exceeded any conference I have ever attended in equipping the Saints for the ministry. May God continue to grow us all, God bless

It was my first Super Bowl Outreach and it was a real privilege to share the Gospel alongside so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ who love the Lord Jesus Christ so much. I'm already praying about attending next year's outreach. To God be the glory, great things He has done. This is an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel. God bless you all. I continue to pray for the work of SFOI.

My first Super Bowl Outreach was amazing. I was able to meet and learn from wonderful brothers and sisters, was personally encouraged in our times of morning prayer/singing, received great preaching/teaching which caused me to worship and be drawn to Christ all the more, and lastly I was able to share the hope that lies within me, namely Jesus, who I cast my life upon. I pray and hope SBO 2016 was the first of many for me! Darryl Bradford Jr. Framed By Grace Films

Rugby World Cup '15:

I was very blessed and thankful to be part of this trip to share the Gospel in England during the Rugby World Cup Championship 2015. There were many great memories of our time sharing the Gospel to the thousands who attended the games but one memory that stands out was at Wembly Park Stadium. As the crowds became more concentrated with the fans walking to the stadium the authorities had to block the crowds to allow for cross vehicle traffic. This pause in the flow of people would make the crowd pass completely as I was able to proclaim the Gospel, then I would stop preaching momentarily as the crowd built to maybe 500 people or more, then I was able to face the crowd and proclaim Christ to the masses. If I remember correctly I was proclaiming from Romans 4: 8 “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account” This is a memory I will never forget and a wonderful opportunity for so many to hear the Gospel proclaimed at the same time.

Our trip was organized and planned by Bill Adams from Sport Fan Outreach and was very organized and kept on focus. I really enjoyed and benefited from the devotionals with local pastors and church leaders. I was encouraged to press on in evangelism and the ministry God has equipped me to do. Several of the speakers spoke from II Corinthians 4, one spoke from verses 1 through 6 and the other from 7 through 12 which I was told was not planned. We were instructed that we will get bit when doing evangelism based on Matthew 10:17, this was further emphasized when II Corinthians 4:7-12 was expounded upon. I had previously not understood well what it meant (10) “always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” As the apostle Paul says verse 12 “So death works in us, but life in you.” This encouraged me in evangelism to not be looking to some kind life without hardship type existence in this life but rather, to press on in ministry in spite of hardship and difficulties in this life.

I was overall greatly encouraged through conversation with Bill Adams and others on the team that God has given a ministry for me to do. It is my prayer to do more evangelism in my local area and to help others also in evangelism where I live here in Bakersfield Ca. I believe the Lord used this trip to enable me to more serve Christ in my area where God has placed me. The trip was truly a mission for God and His Gospel to which we were privileged proclaim in England and Wales.

Through much prayer I felt lead to join Sports Fan Outreach International for the Final Four 2016 Outreach in Houston Texas. It was Sunday April 3 our team was working in front of the George R. Brown convention center as the crowd began to build for the concerts in the Discovery Green park in downtown. There were no games scheduled for the Final Four Basketball Championship but big crowds were expected for the concerts. It was early in the afternoon and people were, for the most part, tolerant to the preaching of the Word of GOD and somewhat receptive to receiving Gospel tracts. While passing out Gospel tracts I looked up and saw a young African American man coming my way. He had the dress and appearance of being a local resident just strolling through the area.

As he approached I looked him in the eyes, smiled, flipped the Gospel tract out in front of him, and said, "For you sir." The young man grabbed the tract and stopped right next to me. He began to read the tract silently and I continued to distribute tracts to those passing by. He tapped me on the shoulder, pointed to the question inside of the tract which read, "If you were to die today do you know for sure that you would go to Heaven?" He looked me in the eyes and said, "I don't know the answer to that question." I asked if I could share with him what the Bible said and he agreed to it so I pulled out my Evangecube and commenced to sharing the Gospel with him.He told me his name was Mac and he listened intently as I shared, nothing seemed to distract him. As I closed my presentation I showed Mac a prayer of repentance and faith and I simply asked him to read it, I did not tell him to pray it. Then I began to discuss with Mac that prayer was talking to GOD with sincerity of heart and he blurted out, "I prayed that prayer." My first question was, "Mac when did you pray that prayer?" He responded, "Just now."

Next I asked," Since you prayed that prayed that prayer, where does JESUS live right now?" When Mac responded with, "He lives in Heaven" I knew either I had not explained the Gospel at a level where he could understand it or he had come to GOD insincerely. So I asked if I could pray for him and he agreed. I my prayer I asked GOD to open his eyes to the truth. After the amen I began to discuss that when one is sincere then there will be a change in their life and quoted 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Almost immediately Mac's eyes swelled with tears and began to bulge in his eye sockets. I looked into his eyes and said, "Mac.....now you know the truth." He blurted out, "I gotta go" he turned and took off dashing up the street. I was a powerful reminder of two important truths. 1) Only GOD can open the eyes of the Spiritually blind. 2) Blind eyes are opened when the Body of CHRIST prays.

Evangelist Mark Yoho of the Fourth Watch Evangelistic Ministry

I was so blessed by this year’s Super Bowl Outreach in San Francisco. I loved every member of the team I was on. I still have a lot to learn about being a team leader, but I had the best team I could have been blessed with. They demonstrated such humble desire to seek those that were lost and give them the truth they needed. I already am longing for the next time I will be blessed to see them all again. Just to start the encouragement now, anyone who wants to be part of next year’s Super Bowl Outreach, start praying about going to Houston next year. ‪You will never regret it.

I sincerely enjoyed being a part of the SBO and every aspect of it. This was my first Super Bowl Outreach, and my first time to California and needless to say this was life-changing! I was astounded by the culture; seeing homeless everywhere sleeping on the streets, and more trolleys than bicycles.

The outreach was fantastic, the teaching was great, the lodging and meals were great, and my favorite part was the time to fellowship with other Saints from all across the US, as well as getting to have an hour’s time to pray and spend time in worship. I also really felt like I learned a lot about myself.

People like Michael Coughlin and Scott Smith gave very useful and practical advice for ways to better share my faith, and everyone offered me some form of encouragement and exhortation that really makes me want to be a part of future SFOI events. Thanks so much for planning and organizing this event and all the behind the scenes details. Lord willing at least one person will have trusted in Christ as Savior as a result of the power of the Gospel.

I know first hand how being a part of these outreaches can grow, strengthen, and equip even seasoned evangelists. I’ve seen men and women come to one of these outreaches for their very first time taking a step out of their area of comfort and leaving more confident, courageous and encouraged. I highly recommend it to anyone with a desire to reach the lost.

This Super Bowl Outreach was my first, and I definitely hope to come back. Although the weekend was busy and exhausting, it was totally worth it. I believe our efforts brought glory to God, and I believe that the Gospel was effectively preached to many. The fellowship was great, and I learned much and was very encouraged by older brothers at the Outreach. It was also a great experience for my younger 16 year-old cousin who attended; I believe I saw growth in him because of all that he experienced. I pray that God would continue to bring glory to Himself and that He would use the seeds we planted to save many lost souls.

Thank you Brother ever since this last SBO I’ve never been more passionate for evangelism in this situation the than ever before praise the Lord for fellowship and body of believers that stir one another for love and Good works !!!

Albert Gomez

This was my 3rd SBO and I was blessed again so much by joining over 90 brothers and sisters who love the lord, love each other, and love the lost! If we only got together to proclaim Christ it would be enough. Yet, we get to have awesome fellowship with brothers and sisters who we rarely see and get to meet new people too! I always especially appreciate that

Bill goes over and above expectations to get top notch Godly men who teach us in depth Bible truths every time at SBO. Every SBO is like a Bible conference and evangelism outreach in one! I can’t say how much I appreciate SBO and SFOI as a whole. God has truly blessed me! I look forward to further ministry in the future should the Lord allow. God bless and thanks for everything!

This was my second trip with SFOI and Bill Adams and it was just as great as the first. I’ve now been on a trip with 100 preachers and a trip with 7, and both events were handled and set-up professionally and in a way that maximally glorifies Christ.

One thing that strikes me about Bill and his trips is the preparation involved. This man has done his homework. The trips are highly organized. You can tell Bill spent time preparing for them. You can also tell that Bill spent time in the business world at some earlier time in his life and he’s now using those gifts for the Lord. There’s nothing done haphazardly on these trips. This is great because it means that the Lord is going to be glorified all the more. A lot of trips (especially when there are 100 people involved) turn out to be dysfunctional and sloppy. Other trips turn out to have a lot of preaching and no fellowship or a lot of fellowship and preaching but no theological training/learning.

Not with SFOI. Bill makes sure we have ample time to preach, fellowship, and learn from excellent and qualified teachers. This is why I sincerely believe SFOI is the best ministry in the country for open-air preachers. You get a combination of everything important for the man called to preach. And best of all, on both trips there have been zealous, sincere hours spent in corporate prayer. So after we go out and war together on the streets, we come back and war together in the spirit. Praise the Lord for SFOI.

MLB All-Star'19:

This was an excellent outreach in every way as organized and led by Bill Adams. The MLB All Star Game is a great way to see God's hand at work in the hearts of people who hear the Word preached in the open air. One person who heard the preaching gave me their business card with an email. I followed up with them and they wrote back about a month later: "Thank you for your time and offer to pray for me, my request and prayer is for the will of the true and living GOD be revealed to you and me in the name of Christ Jesus, for his Glory."

MLB All-Star'19:

On our first day, we rain into some conflict with the police and their security plan. The Captain was helpful and let us preach right near a major entrance. On our first night at the stadium, the police asked us to move off the sidewalk by the stadium and would not listen to reason. The next night we returned to the same spot with no problems. Each day thousand of people walked by us to hear about Jesus and His great salvation. My best witnessing encounter was with a young woman who came under great conviction as I went through God's law withe her. At one point she somberly said with her head downcast. "I am going to Hell for sure." I was them able to share the whole gospel with her and challenge her to call out to Jesus to be saved, It was an awesome opportunity.

NYC Open Air Preaching Training '19:

The open air preacher training was an incredible time of teaching and sharing the Gospel in the open air; I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to preach in Times Square and in a subway tunnel! There were so many opportunities to share one to one with people. Dr. Al Baker and Dr. Brad Evans gave instruction that was so powerful it brought me to tears of joy to me. The fellowship was so sweet we started a group afterwards and continue to correspond. If you have never been to New York to share the Gospel, what are you waiting for?

Joshua P. Richards
Director at Calvary Bible Crusade

This was my second outreach to the Kentucky Derby. As with all other trips, it was an honor and privilege to work alongside others (rain or shine!) from all over the country to share the Gospel in the open-air. The keynote speakers were also a blessing. God has truly gifted Bill Adams at planning and facilitating these events and if you have always wondered what it is like to share the Gospel like men such as George Whitefield then this outreach is for you!

Superbowl Outreach '19:

I am so thankful for the ministry and vision of Sport Fan Outreach to proclaim the gospel to the masses. The Superbowl Outreach for 2019 in Atlanta this year was well organized with much prayer, accompanied with encouraging and challenging speakers. What a privilege to proclaim Christ to thousands of sports fans. One encounter I had was to minister to a Seventh Day Adventist woman who had previously been witnessed to by another one of our fellow evangelists (Scott Smith). It appeared the Lord was drawing her to true salvation in Christ alone.

Gerry Collins

"As usual the Super Bowl Outreach was organized with a high degree of professionalism. We were able to preach the Gospel to literally thousands of football fans over the 3-day event. Not only were we able to get the Gospel to the lost but were also able to encourage other believers to share their faith. This event has been a huge blessing in my life and I would highly recommend it if you have the desire to reach the lost and to preach in the open air."

Alex Burt

Mark Skelly, 2 Corintios 5:21

I was truly blessed to participate in this outreach with so many Godly brothers and sisters. While passing out tracts, I spoke with a gentleman and his son. He professed to “love God” but held to a works righteousness that cannot save. I was able to share a detailed Gospel presentation with both of them. He asked me, “are you saying that I’m wrong?”. I simply told him yes and reminded them of the true Gospel. Both were very receptive to the truth.

Jamie Clark

Happy and blessed to participate in my ninth out of the last eleven Super Bowl events. However, the best encounter that I recall was not with a fan, but rather with a Georgia State student named Shahrukh, who stopped to listen and then talk with me as I was finishing up preaching there with some of the other early arrivers, Thursday afternoon. He was Muslim (I asked, as we were parting), but unlike the vast majority of other such encounters, the merits of Islam versus Christianity wasn’t on his mind at all. Apparently I had been preaching on the reality and absolute necessity of the new birth and being made a new creation in Christ, for salvation. He had one simple, profound, sincere, wonderful question: “What changed you?” I much enjoyed speaking with him one-on-one for perhaps 10 minutes (just before we had to leave) about the God of scripture who not only saves but transforms a person.

Ben Grady

I had a wonderful time at the SBO. The Seven Day Adventist, Mormons, JW's and Muslims were all out sharing their faith at the Superbowl festivities and I was so glad that we as Christians were out sharing our faith as well. This was a particularly good year since I had to young ladies to mentor in evangelism. Nothing is more rewarding than training up the next generation of soul winners. When you train others to go and share the gospel you are multiplying your efforts. The young ladies brought life and enthusiasm to the group. We sang hyms to and from the outreaches and really had a wonderful time. We shared the gospel via tracts with thousand of people and were able to witness to at least 30 people in 1 to 1 conversations. It was wonderful fun to see the girls stepping out of their comfort zones to share the gospel.

Sarah McDonald

Michigan Football Weekend '18: I was able to spend a fair amount of time talking with a man named Matt. He was a musician who came to the Detroit Lions game to play his guitar for the passing fans entering the game. After he had finished playing, I was able to talk with him for at least 30 minutes, and he listened as I presented the good news of Jesus sacrifice for sinners. He was convinced that Christianity had much to offer the world in the realm of morality, but he was by no means convinced that the Bible is completely true. May God humble his proud heart.

Coca-Cola 600/Speedstreet '18: There was a young lady I met who is dying from Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She only has a few month's, by her doctor's reckoning. I saw her surgery scars and her implanted port for chemotherapy. My heart broke for her as she was young enough to be my daughter. Myself and another preacher were able to speak with her and pray for her and that was most memorable. I am so glad that God made it possible for me to be there for all the preaching to the masses that passed by, and the many conversations.

Peter Firth

Coca-Cola 600/Speedstreet '18:

This was my fourth day ever of preaching in the open air. Other than one young woman who listened attentively at the Final Four, no one really seemed to stop and listen when I was preaching. I know it's the flesh, but you start to wonder, "Am I cut out for this? Are people REALLY that hardened to the truth, or is it just me?"

So as Peter was preaching before me on that Friday evening, I began to pray for the Lord to bring people to listen while he was preaching. And then, when it was my turn to preach, I asked the men to pray the same thing for me -- that the Lord would draw people. If I'm not mistaken, SEVEN people stayed and listened during that 20-30 window of my preaching, which also led to GREAT side conversations with four young (high school aged, I think) seekers and a young man named Philip who testified of his very recent salvation and transformation at the hands of the Lord! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and answered prayer!

In addition to the many witnessing and preaching opportunities, one of the most blessed things about the outreach was meeting many new genuine Brothers in the faith, some of whom have already become good friends and strong encouragers of the path that we're all. The Lord tells us that everyone "who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God" will "receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life," and these encounters remind me of the Lord's faithfulness in that regard. (Luke 18:29-30) I also thank the Lord for sustaining my voice and helping to acclimate my very odd sleep schedule during this time, both of which were very greatly appreciated and needed as we did the Lord's work.

Kentucky Derby '18:

The Kentucky Derby was quite an experience for me. Having done open air preaching at Gay Pride events in St. Louis and Peoria Illinois, I was not expecting as much opposition to the gospel at the Derby. I was wrong. Not sure why there was so much opposition other than drunkenness mixed with losing much money on the races. I'll not be surprised at this next year. I had one decent conversation with a young man who claimed to be a Christian but I had real doubts that he clearly understood what that means. At least I was able to try to have a decent discussion with him. Others, not so much. It was definitely a learning experience. That and learning to be better prepared for inclement weather...specifically heavy rain. Buckets of rain much of Saturday. Regardless of the opposition and the weather, it was a blessing to be a part of the 2018 Derby outreach. I certainly plan on making this an annual event for me as well as the Superbowl! Thankful to be a part and looking forward to next time...!

Kentucky Derby '18:

The first day of the outreach, while our team was walking to the spot where we were going to preach: I met two teenagers, Joseph and Jonathan. Joseph asked me, "What are you guy's doing"? I told him that we were evangelists who had traveled from all over the country to preach the Gospel. Joseph said, "we will walk with you guys". Praise God, for the next 15-20 minutes I shared the Gospel - the Word of God - with these two fifteen-year-olds. I was surprised at the humility of Joseph and Jonathan, and that they listened to me intently as I shared the Gospel with them. Before we departed company: I gave them a Gospel tract, prayed for them, and with their permission, exchanged phone numbers. SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Kentucky Derby '18:

As one of our evangelists was preaching the glories of Jesus Christ in front of the infield gate of Churchill Downs, a young man walked by holding a bottle of beer. He asked if he could sit down, and I gladly offered him a chair. He sincerely had many questions about God and the Bible. We talked for about 20 minutes, and the Lord graciously enabled me to share many scriptures, taking great care to lift up Jesus Christ as his only hope. I shared the gospel, encouraged him to read the Gospel of John, and entreated him to pray for God to reveal Himself if he truly desires to know Him. We prayed together for these things, as well as for his step sister who is battling stage-4 cancer. Before he walked away, I gave him my name and phone number with hope that he might contact me. Pray for Bo, that God would be glorified in his salvation!

Kentucky Derby '18:

Two fans approached me just as I stepped off the box from preaching: Alex and Michael. They had both been drinking (Who there wasn’t?) but they were truly inquisitive and mostly polite. They began to ask me why I felt that Jesus was the only way to Salvation. After 20 minutes of presuppositional discourse, they thanked me and moved on. Later, while heading to eat lunch, I ran into them again. They began asking me more questions about ‘the end of the world” and when it was going to occur. I told them that each of them have an appointment with God and that us meeting twice in such a large crowd was indeed a Divine encounter. I gave them some tracts and my personal cell phone number in case they had further questions. A few minutes before we were set to leave that evening I ran in to these guys once more. They stopped and told me “Thank you for taking the time to explain things to us. We have a lot to think about now.” Please remember Alex and Michael in your prayers that God would continue to extend mercy to them that they might surrender to Christ.

Kentucky Derby ’18:

I can tell a difference in my faith having joined the team at the Derby. The most profound experience for me was one of internal struggle. Day two I was holding a cross that read “Love and Justice”, greeting people as they walked by. After many hours standing there, absorbing the mocking and jeers, I began to struggle mightily with my own beliefs. Thoughts of doubt and fear that all I said I believed was a farce… that God didn’t exist, He wasn’t real, and we were all idiots for taking the stand (and abuse) we were taking. I nearly crumbled right there, standing in the rain. I wanted to pack it in, run away, and hang out in Starbucks or Kroger until we were done, but the grace of God held me there, providing enough strength to at least bow my head and pray.

As I was praying… I still don’t know who it was, what they looked like, or which direction they were headed, but, it was so clear… it was as if the fan had leaned over to my ear to make sure I heard what they wanted to say… “God is fake”. One would think, in the midst of that struggle, a comment like that spoken intentionally right into my ear, at THAT moment, would seal the deal and “finish the job” of making me crumble, but, by the grace of God, it had the opposite effect. My mind and heart instantly felt strengthened… after all, what more affirmation of my faith and confirmation of the spiritual warfare we were engaged in… spiritual warfare that doesn’t EXIST if God is fake!!... did I need?

It was as if the enemy showed his face to cut me off at the knees and having “seen” him through that very personal, timely, attack, the doubts about God, melted away! My next time on the box was in the midst of a mass exodus where our corner was a natural bottleneck, forcing people to stay in front of us for a longer period of time than usual. What were the first words out of my mouth?? “God is real, folks!” And they need to be ready to stand before Him face to face. I was living out Romans 8:28… what the enemy meant for my destruction God ordained for my good. I haven’t been the same since those few hours; and I doubt I will be again – all to the glory of God.

Kentucky Derby '18:

My best fan encounter was actually not with a fan but with a man who worked at the Derby with the horses, (who professed Christ and I think was genuine). His name is Javirk and it seemed that he had the day off on Saturday. Anyway God had put it on his heart to go out in the rain that day. He stopped when he heard the preacher (Doc) singing a hymn and I could see his eyes tearing up as he looked at the sign I was holding that said, “If you died today where would you go?” I went over to him and he told me he wasn’t living right and had also been robbed by his co-workers. I said I didn’t know what he was going through but that the Lord Jesus did—the only Man undeserving of wrong—was betrayed by one of His own disciples. He began to weep and asked for a Bible and we prayed together. This one cross encounter made leaving my family and going with very little sleep for three nights worth it!

Daniel Sterkel

SBO'18:

There were several memorable times when someone walking by would take a tract and I would look them in the eye and say they are so precious to Jesus that he would go to the cross for them, and that they should never forget that. Then I would simply tell them to read it and give it some serious thought. The fellowship with the men in the evening was also one of the most memorable events from SFO in 2018. I am looking forward to going to Atlanta next year.

Greg Fischer

SBO'18:

My best encounter with a fan on the Street was the following: On Saturday, February 3rd while my Team was Witnessing & preaching the Gospel next to the Minneapolis Convention Center; 2 Teenage boy's (approximately 13 or 14 years old) walked up to our Team, while Brother Peter was Preaching The Gospel. We had a Tripod set up: and on thatTripod was a laminated picture. The Picture showed a Big City. There was a road coming out of the City, which Multitudes upon Multitudes of people were walking on. The road split, onto 2 different path's. **1 path had Very FEW People walking on it. Their was a Great Chasm: but, the roadway (to get across the Chasm) was in the shape of a "CROSS". The other path (which had 95% of the People walking on it) were walking right off of the cliff and falling into Hell/The Lake Of Fire!!

The 2 Teenage boy's were standing almost 20 feet away from the picture. I said, "guy's Please come and look @ this picture Close-up". So, they walked over to the picture with me. Immediately, I said, "Guy's look @ this". And I pointed to the small images that were falling off of the Cliff. **Immediately, the 2 Teenage boy's realized: That ALL Of those small images were People falling/going right into Hell/The Lake Of Fire. Their eye's "got really big" and they were speechless!! Praise The LORD, I was able to briefly share the Gospel with them & right before they left: I gave both of them a Gospel Tract!!!

My best experience @ SBO '18 was: Watching my Team do all of the following: "Breaking bread" together/fellowshipping, laboring together in Preaching The Gospel, loving one another (as Christ Jesus told us to love one another), serving one another/esteeming one another, more highly than our own selves, encouraging one another & bearing one another's burdens.

Bill 'DOC' Schank

SBO'18:

The Super Bowl Outreach was an amazing experience and I truly enjoyed the great fellowship, teaching and time spent preaching the gospel and witnessing for Christ! There were many one on one encounters and opportunities to preach the gospel to the to the masses. The fans for the most part welcomed the word of God being revealed through us, even in the midst of the snow and cold weather. This was my first opportunity to serve alongside my brothers and sisters in the ministry and I plan to do it again next year!
