The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Outreach (12/21/2021)
Today’s outreach, at Albertsons Stadium, marked our 6th Sports Fan Outreach International (SFOI) football outreach of the 2021 season at Albertsons Stadium. My partner Mike Burns and I were very thankful for the 1:30om kick-off for today’s Potato Bowl game featuring the Wyoming Cowboys and the Kent State Golden Flashes. With the exception of one game this year, all of our previous games this season, were 7pm kickoffs. Because this was a daytime game, we were blessed with fairly pleasant December temps in the 40’s, with mostly clear skies and no wind.
Many of the spectators appeared to have been bused to the stadium today as we kept encountering bus-sized groups of fans. We were able to team up to handle these crowd bursts with primarily Christmas million dollar bill (MDB) tracts. We estimated that nearly 90% accepted the of the over 1K MDB’s we were blessed to deliver— that’s a fantastic acceptance rate!
It was about 45 minutes before kickoff that we noticed that a substantial crowd had accumulated around the “C” ticket gate. That large group of fans allowed us to be able to do a bit of open-air preaching. Mike and I began by singing our a cappella rendition of “O Come, All Ye Faithful”. From there, I transitioned to reading the account of our Savior’s birth from Luke 1:39-56; Luke 2:1-20. I concluded by open-air preaching the gospel. Mike also open-aired the gospel to wrap today’s outreach. We both enjoyed a series of short gospel conversations throughout the outreach.
Wyoming ultimately prevailed this afternoon with a 52-38 win over Kent State. There were over 10K in attendance at today’s bowl game.
Please pray for those who heard the gospel and/or received tracts. May the Holy Spirit give no rest or peace until these divine appointments humbly repent and trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord . . . Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
— Luke 2:11,14
All glory to God… Yay Jesus
Check out my Brother Mike Burns as he open-aired the “reason for the season” at today’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Albertsons Stadium! We also sang an a cappella rendition of “O Come, All Ye Faithful”

Tropical Smoothie Frisco bowl outreach with Will S Dieterich
With Joe Hinson preaching in Frisco at the football game. We have had some encouragement and thanks from people for preaching the gospel. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

The Lord is kind to unexpectedly send brother Scott and his wife Clarissa over from Auburn today to labor at my mission field. Very thankful for these two.
One conversation given was with a member of the 1980's Green Bay football team Maurice Harvey. He spoke to me well over half and hour and the truth of scripture rang true, "Sin when finished brings death."
Please pray for him.
He reminded me that after witnessing to so many over the years from all walks of life, no man seeks for God.

The Music City Bowl Outreach was a blessed opportunity to hand out tracts and preach. A wonderful thing that happened was that my whole friend's family came out: the parent's, 4/5 children, and two of the children's significant others. It was a blessing to have that family come out. We also had two other brothers come out: Terry Cohea and my friend Ikechukwu Umoga. We passed out a few hundred tracts at least and Terry and I took turns preaching. My amp ran out of battery life right before we headed out, so I ended up preaching for a few minutes unamplified. What's interesting is that it seemed like many more people turned their head toward the preaching when it was not amplified.

What a night. Shared the gospel with Cedric the amputee who wears a cross around his neck, said that he was going to Hell because he has not repented and that he was not born again.
Shared the gospel with Malik who was listening to the open air preaching. He had some questions about salvation. As he was listening to the Law and what Jesus did did on the cross, tears were coming down his cheeks.
Mark came by again. He realized tonight that he was lost, trusting in his own righteousness. He too heard the gospel.
A donation of 100 was given to the ministry.
Another praised what was going on, and gave much encouragement.
It was a beautiful night for proclaiming Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord for a fruitful weekend in Indianapolis last Saturday - Monday for the College Football Championship. Five of us labored for 8 hours each day amongst thousands of fans and local citizens. Below is the team. Left to right:
Me; Jacob Nelson from Peoria, IL; Heath Pucel from Green Bay, WI; Greg Fischer from Denmark, WI; Brad Madewell from Chattanooga, TN.
Brad and Jacob and I met within two weeks before the event. Brad in faith asked off for two days so he could go and the Lord granted Brad the two days.
Brad is brand new to preaching and Jacob is relatively new. They plus Heath and Greg two ministry veterans worked very well together. Brad and I had a chance to talk on the 6 1/2 hour ride to Indy and another 6 1/2 home about his testimony and what he believed the Lord is doing in his life. The fellowship is the gift of these trips.
For three days we were primarily ministering in front of the Indiana Convention Center for 8 hours daily. Beginning at 10:30 AM Saturday and Sunday and 11:00 Monday. The Convention attracted fans because they hosted the exhibit for fans called: Playoff Fan Central. Fans could attend whether they attended the game or not.
The picture below on the left is the view from the front of the ICC towards Georgia Street where fans would cross the road to come to the fan fest in the ICC. The picture on the right shows the front of the ICC. The team is to the left of the picture.
Georgia Street which deadends into the Indiana Convention Center was also home to an all weekend street party. It hosted bands, vendors, large screen TVs and other items for the fans to do outside. You can see a local report here: Georgia Street. The two videos below show Georgia Street and ministry in front of the ICC.
Saturday and Sunday Monument Circle hosted concerts beginning at 5:00 PM and on gameday Monday it was home to an official tailgate party from Noon - 5:00 PM. Below are two videos showing the crowds and entrance for the concerts.
Game Day at Lucas Oil Stadium required locating at 5:00 PM Monday to the intersection of S. Capital Avenue and W. South Street in front of the stadium.
The crowds from the Indiana Convention Center, Georgia Street and the rest of downtown Indy flock by this intersection into the stadium.
This location is one of the best locations in the US to preach. These two videos show the area and Jacob preaching at the location.
I wish you could be with us one time to experience the joy of the ministry and fellowship. Maybe there is a way to capture it on video and we can do that but the point here is that your partnership provides a priceless gift to all the evangelists and then as a bonus to the souls who hear the Gospel, are ministered to in the moment and referred to a Bible teaching church or ministry for discipleship.
It's true that you are storing up much treasure in heaven!
Grace, mercy & peace,
Rev. Bill Adams
