I was raised in a home were we alternated between my dad’s, Baptist church and mom’s, Methodist church. When I was eight my maternal grandparents took me to Eureka Springs, AR to see The Passion Play. As I watched the actor portraying Jesus on the cross, I saw the need for a Savior and cried out for Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. While in High School, I started attending an Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church. I grew in head knowledge but still lived in the world. After my son was born in December of 1988 The Holy Spirit convicted me of the life I had been living. I repented of my sins asking The Only True and Holy God, to forgive me for sinning against Him Alone. Thanking The Father for His Grace, and Mercy for providing a Redeemer and Justifier in His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt that I could not pay, for the life I had been living and the sins that I had committed against Him. His Holy Spirit empowered me at that moment, I was transformed from darkness into light being Born Again, Born only from Above. Knowing that Scripture Alone would be my Highest Authority and that Salvation is by His Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, in the work of Christ Alone, and I wanted to live for God’s Glory Alone for the rest of my life. Daily, I am fighting the nature of sin but praise be to God I am a new creature with a new heart and with a desire to Follow, Serve, Honor, Worship, Glorify and Proclaim/Preach His Gospel until the Day He Returns or the Day He calls me Home.
I am married to a Proverbs 31 Woman, Deb, that I do not deserve but The Lord has graciously given to me along with three beautiful Proverbs 31 daughters, Leah, Emily and Hannah, and a son, John, who is showing me daily how to be more like Christ while living on this earth.
My ministry is twofold; the first is providing Physical Food for people partaking in meals at First Evangelical Church where I attend and work but the greatest of these is providing Spiritual Food by Proclaiming/Preaching The Gospel of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. By Jesus authority, we are to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, (All The Days) even to the end of the age.”
