About

I was born in Peru, but my family and I moved to Southern California when I was six years old. Growing up in a Christian home, I was exposed to the Gospel at an early age. However, I remained a false convert for years, holding to an outward semblance of morality while I was inwardly enslaved to sin. It wasn’t until the age of nineteen that I truly came to understand and embrace the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Lord used Ray Comfort and the first episode of The Way of the Master TV show to convict me of my hypocrisy and spiritual apathy. I’ll never forget the words of Charles Spurgeon quoted in that episode: “Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself, be sure of that!” Not long after, I surrendered to Christ…and everything changed. My chains fell off, my heart was free!

I found myself deeply burdened and passionate for the lost. I started to regularly engage in street evangelism. As an introvert who struggled with extreme social anxiety, having conversations with random strangers and public preaching were the last things I ever thought I’d end up doing! God truly uses the foolish things of the world.

I worked for Living Waters for about two years, until I moved back to Peru in pursuit of missions work. I had a growing desire in my heart to reach Spanish-speakers for Christ. A few years after that I ended up in Mexico, where I spent ten years serving as a missionary. There, by God’s grace, I labored in street evangelism, church-planting and pastoral ministry.

I am happily married to my dear wife Cassie, a very godly woman. We have four children. We now live in the San Antonio, Texas area, where I serve as a full-time evangelist under the oversight of our local church.
