Jeremy Chong grew up in New York City and is passionate about urban ministry and evangelism. Urban ministry gives the evangelist access to millions of people, representing almost every nation on earth. With more and more people moving to big cities across the globe, it is vital that the church goes fishing where the fish are.
Jeremy has been leading weekly evangelistic outreaches in Chicago since 2018. His team, Reformation Chicago, meets in the city and splits up into small groups for conversational evangelism, open-air preaching, and literature distribution. In 2022, the Lord enabled the team to begin a bible study in Chicago for the sake of providing discipleship, with the hope of growing into a reformed church plant. The group has been growing since then, and the plan and hope is for a new OPC church plant to launch in 2026 in Chicago.
Jeremy is finishing up at Mid-America Reformed Seminary in Northwest Indiana where he lives with his wife Hannah, and son Hudson. He is seeking ordination in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and hopes to see many more reformed and evangelistic churches planted in Chicago, as well as his hometown, New York City. He is eager for evangelists to come over and help.

“Bill’s goal with SFOI and the GWP has been to mobilize the next generation of George Whitefield’s. This goal combined with KYFITT provide a powerful remedy of faithful heralds of the King, rightly proclaiming His word and living a life fully and totally committed to prayer, study and preaching the word."
Biblical Theology plays a crucial role in preaching, as it seeks to uncover the overarching themes, concepts, and purposes of Scripture and how it points to Christ. By understanding the overarching themes and motifs in the grand narrative of the Bible, we can gain a deeper appreciation for the continuity of God's message across different books, authors, and genres.
This helps us interpret and connect various passages and themes across the entirety of the Bible, allowing us to present a holistic view of God's character, his plan of salvation, and our role in his story.
Additionally, grounding our preaching in a solid Biblical Theology foundation can help avoid theological errors and pitfalls which diminish exalting Christ and showcase a greater, deeper Gospel connection to those we preach to.
