What is happening


The 2026 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., runs from March 20 to April 12, 2026, celebrating spring with cultural events, art, and music, including the Blossom Kite Festival (March 28), PetalPalooza (April 4), and the National Parade (April 11). The festival commemorates the U.S.'s 250th anniversary and the original gift of trees, with key events centered around the Tidal Basin, but the exact "peak bloom" date depends on weather and is announced in early March. 


SFOI will be there Lord willing and is looking for men to join the team to preach the Gospel to the festival attendees and local citizens; minister to them in the moment and potentially refer them to a Bible teaching church or ministry for disciples.

  • Prayer is the foundation of the SFOI and praying for the Civil Magistrate has allowed the outreaches to operate smoothly over the years. So this is a must.
