My name is Landon Thurman, and I came to faith in Christ on July 11, 2020, after nearly losing my life to COVID-19. I grew up attending the Lutheran church but never truly listened, using it as an escape from a troubled home. I fell into the wrong crowd, engaging in criminal activity, which led to jail time. I later turned my life around, found a career as a Designer, worked my way up the corporate ladder, and married my wife in 2017. We had our first son the following year and started a branding and marketing agency in Dallas in 2020, just before the pandemic hit. While I had a Christian-adjacent lifestyle, I wasn’t a Christian at all, nor did I understand the cross. When COVID-19 struck, I initially thrived in business but soon became gravely ill. 

As I struggled to breathe on July 11th, I cried out to God in desperate prayer, and I was given the understanding that I was going to stand before God as judge, as my life was fading before my eyes, and I was going to be tossed into hell for my sin. I knew that it was just, and I cried to God, begging Him for a second chance at life, that I would devote my life to Him both professionally and personally. I suddenly had an urge to vomit, and when I did, my symptoms vanished. I understood then that God had answered my prayer.

The next day, I watched a documentary called "American Gospel,” and I heard and completely understood the true biblical Gospel of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. My wife soon came to faith, and we dedicated our lives to knowing Him and sharing His Gospel. I am now part of a ministry called Testimonies of God, where we provide Gospel tracts for evangelism, apologetic literature to debunk false religions and cults, and resources to equip believers in sharing the life-saving message of Jesus Christ.
