All State Sugar Bowl
Date: Jan 1, 2025
At 3:15 in the morning on New Year's Day on Bourbon Street in New Orleans was a terrorist attack. A 42 year old American drove a truck through the crowd and killed 15 people, injured 30, and he shot two police officers. Three other suspects were viewed planting bombs on the street. An ISIS flag was found in the driver's truck. It was a somber area on the corner of Canal and Bourbon Streets with lots of police and news crews. The gospel of Jesus Christ was preached and taught. A question for the Roman Catholic fans from Notre Dame and the Protestant fans from Georgia were asked, "From a biblical worldview, are people basically good or bad?" EVERYONE said basically good.
Law and Grace was preached, emphasizing that we are all destined to die and then judgment.
The Allstate Sugar Bowl was postponed until Thursday. Many gospel tracts were distributed.

Sunday in New Orleans was the game between the New Orleans Saints and the Las Vegas Raiders. At the intersection of Garod and Loyola Streets, one hundred Our Daily Bread devotionals were distributed to the sports fans. The topic IS JESUS ENOUGH was preached in the open air. If you lost everything, would Jesus be enough? Many fans commented, "That's a good question. I don't know."
A North Korean woman escaped to South Korea via China. She was asked if she needed anything and how can she prayed for. Her reply was, "You have material wealth, money and power. We have nothing. You pray for us? We pray for you. We have Jesus, and He is sufficient."
While preaching, Mark came over with some biblical questions. He's heard me preach many times. We talked for about an hour. Please pray for him.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, Jimmy, Harvey, and David were in New Orleans for evangelism purposes. For three hours prior to the Saints/Commanders game, we open-air preached, distributed about 300 gospel tracts, and 130 Ten Commandment doubloons.
This was Harvey's second time. He said to Jimmy and David, "I was conflicted if I should go to church today or come to New Orleans. I could go to church or be the church."
All three men had gospel centered conversations.
One man asked David if he was a preacher and then said that he had been to Israel three times. He said that Jesus and His apostles were to only preach to the Jews.
He then yelled at David and said, "And you're not Jewish." He then walked away.
Members in the crowd had quizzical looks on their faces. David responded, "He's right. I'm a Gentile."
The sermon was about God's attributes compared to Santa Claus. Many people commented with "God bless you for what you are doing."
Still fishing for men,
David

What a great day. John from Cleveland came over to talk with me about Jesus. He thought that his good deeds would outweigh the bad that he had done. We talked about an hour. We went through the law and many Scriptures. We spent considerable time on the forgiveness of sins by Jesus Christ and the freedom from guilt.
John asked me to explain that again. During the course of our conversation, his eyes welled up with tears. I had some napkins in my pocket, and I gave him one. He said that this meeting was a divine appointment from God and that this was not by chance.
We got our picture taken together, and then I prayed for him.
Another man stopped me from preaching to tell me what was going on in Israel.
A woman looked at my banner and said I was an anti-christ if I voted for Trump just because I was preaching.
The banner asked,"Can you be good without God?"
She proclaimed her goodness. I told her, "If you are so good, explain this," as I flipped to a banner with an aborted baby.
She went nuts, cussing me out and calling me an anti-christ.
Many other people said, "God bless you for what you are doing." One man even gave a financial offering for our ministry.
About 130 10 Commandment coins were distributed to the fans.

We distributed about 100 Gideon New Testament Bibles and about 50 Ten Commandment coins. Lewis had the opportunity to pray for several people on the street corner. Lewis also had his second opportunity to open air preach.
I was preaching on the new law in Louisiana regarding the Ten Commandments being put in schools. I was pointing out the different versions of Bibles, the difference between the Catholic and Protestant Bibles, and the Lord's Supper.

On Sunday in New Orleans, Harvey, Lewis, Jimmy and David were ambassadors for our Lord Jesus Christ. Over 100 Gideon bibles were given out, along with tracts from Living Waters and Chapel Library.
This was Lewis' first time open air preaching, and the first time for Harvey. What struck them both was the disdain for Jesus Christ. However, gospel tracts and bibles went out.
Is it worth it for one? Absolutely, because at one time we were all enemies of God but someone had the guts to share the gospel with us.
Lewis said that he wants to go again.
