Mark Jasa - Pasadena, CA

Mark Jasa is a fellow of the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism & Human Rights Strasbourg, France. He served at UCLA as the chaplain for eight years and has served as pastor at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Pasadena for the past eight years. He holds a master’s of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary St. Louis. 

Mark and his wife April have two children and they enjoy life together in Southern California.     Mark has been proclaiming Christ to college students for more than two decades and has a real desire to work with this age group. Providing an active, yet safe environment in which to learn how to evangelize, Mark teaches techniques in a classroom setting called ground school. He also models and teaches engagement in the public arena where students have conversations with atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. Mark calls this flight school. Mark is a contributing fellow at 1517, and featured prominently in the book “Faith that Engages the Culture” by Dr. Alfonso Espinosa. Mark is a frequent guest on different radio shows, and has lectured across the United States, Canada, Scandinavia, and the United Kingdom. Mark always speaks on topics tightly tethered to evangelism and apologetics.
