onathan Mwadime Shako was born on 7th/11/1983 in Chamlim village in Taita Taveta County, he went to Nyache primary school and later joined Kenyatta high school, later he joined Technical training where he attained a Diploma in Sound engineering and electrical engineering.
At the age of five years, he was poisoned and that almost took away his life, he went into a comma for several weeks and everyone gave up on him since there was no improvement the Doctors advised the parents to take him home since the hospital bill was growing big and they all agreed to take him home and wait for him to die in peace at their home.
But it was not the time for him to die something incredible happened; these words. {I reached a place where there was a boundary when I tried to cross that boundary I heard voices calling …..Is not that the son of Shako? No, it’s not your time yet to come here, go back. And that is how I came out of the comma}. But that was the beginning of so many health problems that have persisted to date.
His parent thought he would not make it to 10 yrs. of life, he has been really suffering from stomach problems he has undergone several surgeries but nothing has been of help for him, he was later diagnosed with a heart problem at the age of 7 yrs. His life has been full of problems and pain. He was raised by a Christian Mother and a drunkard father who was late, His Mother took them to Church so he grew up knowing God, His Mother brought so many men of God to their home for prayers, but as many of them prayed for him the more his suffering increased, at the age of 11ys he began to hate God and everyone who mentioned God, his mother brought men of God to their home to pray he chased them away with a panga, he did not want to associate himself with anything or anyone mentioned God.
He suffered until one day his own Mother wished him dead, His mother said, [I wish you die and rest you have suffered enough.}Those words were so painful to come from his own mother’s mouth, that it pieced through the heart like sharp knife his only hope his mother had already given up on him and to him there was nothing left for him, those words made him so bitter with everyone and everything, he lived bitter life and careless life throughout his teenage life, he hated everything and everyone even his own brothers he even once buried his own brother alive luckily the mother was around whom she rescued him to him nothing mattered anymore.
One day he prayed to God to take his life, God even though I don’t believe in you anymore please this once I believe you are there since you have refused to heal me from this pain ,I beg you take my life tonight as I go down to sleep don’t let me wake up tomorrow morning, he had one friend who was very strong Christian this young man was fully dedicated his life and everything to Christ and his parents were witches but him he was strong Christian, that evening this young man went to Jonathans home and prayed with him since he was his friend he accepted his prayers and the boy left, that night the boy died, he died smiling he was to sit for his primary exam that day, his parent went to wake him up for school but he did not respond since he was so prayerful they thought he is praying since he was smiling, four hours later it’s when they knew he was dead, when Jonathan heard the news of his friend he even cursed God the more since he left him to suffer and took the life of a guy who had a promising future, He believes his friend died on his behalf. At the age of 16 years. he rededicated his life back to God.
Testimony
Before rededicating his to God he had attempted three suicides that failed and the day he met the lord he was planning another suicide and this time by hanging, so he was going to buy a rope on which he was to use that night in a bush alone in the night where nobody will attempt to rescue him. He had his rope in a bag he found a preacher by the street preaching, this preacher now is late his name was Ben Bahati, he decided to stand and as he was standing there, the preacher man preached exactly what he was planning to do in fact he said there is a young boy here and you are planning to commit suicide you have already bought a rope, Don’t commit suicide God has a plan for you. Come and let me pray for you. He went and the man of God prayed for him he got saved but that did not change his plan for suicide but the prayers held him from going that day, It was on Tuesday on Wednesday he came back to the same venue still with his plans to continue his suicide mission.
He met the man of God preaching and also there was good music he stopped to listen again, and the man of God called the alter call again he went for prayers and went back home with the same plans to hang himself until on Friday when he fully gave his life to Jesus until now. It took time like four days to come to terms that he is now born again after four alter calls.
When he received Jesus Christ Jonathan started going to church and one year later in 2000 he joined the Field Evangelism program since he was already in Sound engineering school he started helping the ministry in the Sound department and electrical, and he continued serving the lord until 2003 when he heard the call of God to win souls and it’s when he began his own ministry by the name Jesus4me ministries.
But even after starting his own ministry his ministry was very inactive until 2016 after his Bishop passed away the entire ministry became unstable and some groups broke out of that ministry it’s when his ministry started to function after the death of the Bishop.
Jesus4meministries is a non-denomination ministry fully dedicated purely to all kinds of souls wining using all kinds or methods to win souls, which are Field/open-air evangelism in villages, Markets, streets, Estates, sports centers, person-to-person and anywhere they can find a soul to win back to God. He was born again in the streets so he went back on the streets to win more back.
Jonathan is so dedicated in his soul wining ministry his joy is to see a soul saved no matter the situation the soul has to hear the word of God, several times he has found himself in a police cell for the purpose of the Gospel but in all that has never stopped him from reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. His vision is to see millions of souls hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jonathan is married to his wife Emily and they are blessed with four Children one girl and three boys. Medad who is 14 years girl, Jason 11 years, and Ariel and Adiel 2 years old boys.
