Home Game Schedule
Jones AT & T Stadium. Capacity: 60,454.
10/5 – Oklahoma State
I was by myself today at the Tech vs OSU game however we are never alone when we are doing the Lords work. The combination of an early kick off and parents weekend made for very sober and well behaved students. I handed out 400 tracts within the time frame of ninety minutes, only had a few rejections. Witnessed to Tatum a Tech student and had several other stop light conversations with both believers and scoffers.
9/7 – vs. UTEP
We had four people on our team to evangelize outside the Jones Stadium for the Texas Tech Vs UTEP game. A fan said he appreciated the preaching and encouraged us to continue. A rowdy group of students claimed that they didn’t have to keep the commandments because Jesus did away with them.
8/31 – vs. Montana State
Pastor Steve Miller, Ricky and Maria Humpreys and myself gave out tracts, held signs and preached to passing crowds. We had several conversations with individuals and one fan asked for prayer.
More About Dorothy:
Dorothy Boyett – Lubbok, TX
I became a Christian in the 70’s,. attended church faithfully and engaged in all the activities although I only shared my faith when asked. When I read Hell’s Best Kept Secret I understood true Biblical repentance versus false conversion. I started handing out tracts and enrolled in the school of biblical evangelism on-line. After attending the Great News Network boot camp in 2004 my life took on a new role I was now “going out of my way” to engage people in Biblical conversations.
I heard about the work Bill Adams was doing with Sports Fans Outreach and signed up for the Super Bowl outreach in Dallas. Since then I have attended several and had the opportunity to go with a team to my native England for several evangelistic events.
I am a member of Temple Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. Each week I go to Texas Tech University to hand out tracts and do one-to one witnessing.
