Asking for $100 for your mission trip
What do you say or write when you are asking someone to donate $100 to your mission trip?
"Dear Friend, would you partner with me on my mission to reach sports fans and local citizens in London, England with the Gospel by donating $100 which covers expenses for one day of the mission?"
That's it.
The first step in fundraising for your trip is to prepare a succinct invitation. This invitation is a summary statement of your trip from which you able to further explain details of the trip.
There are key elements of the invitation:
- Partner. You are not asking for money. You are asking them to genuinely partner with you on your trip, meaning they receive eternal rewards as you do, and they will be treated as a partner by you.
- Mission: mission signifies your trip is has a definitive timeline, location and audience.
- Sports fans & local citizens: your audience.
- London, England: mission location.
- Donate: partners participate in your mission by donating financially.
- $100: partners commit to this amount or more.
- Expenses: partners pay for daily expenses versus some other item.
