Gasparilla Pirate Fest! January 25....
Dear Friends - the Gasparilla Pirate Fest is a one day event that, according to official estimates, attracts 300,000 souls for the day. The official event is comprised of an all day street party, 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM, on Bayshore Blvd; a 'Pirate' invasion by ship in the Bay at 11:30 AM; and a parade on Bayshore beginning at 2:00 PM. https://gasparillapiratefest.com/pirate-fest-schedule-of-events/
This year Tom Cabral and I arrived by 9:00 AM and began preaching at an excellent location at the end of Platt Bridge. Praise the Lord this year we were able to stay there the entire day.
About 10:00 AM Mike Wells, a local evangelist, arrived; soon Elias with two friends from Brandon also arrived and eventually John from Sarasota. The last evangeist was Mark who was in our area on his own distributing tracts!
An old friend and seasoned evangelist, Warren Marquardt, arrived at the other end of Bayshore about 10:00 AM. Tom went up to join him. So the 9 of us covered both ends of Bayshore. Hallelujah! The Lord raised up many laborers for the day!
